Ideal Position:
I would like to work with a company and people that are passionate about helping others. It's important to me to leave work each day and feel that I, along with my company, have contributed in some way.
Ideal Environment:
A collaborative, team oriented culture is important to me; I feel the best work comes from individual strengths and ideas coming together. A smaller agency or a corporate environment is ideal.
Past Experience:
I am the public relations and media manager for BBVA Compass, formerly Guaranty Bank. Prior to joining the bank, I was a client services manager at The Powell Group, as well as an account executive at The Richards Group and a publicist at Gayler Smith Company, an entertainment public relations agency.
Current:
I am currently generating PR and media for the BBVA Compass holiday initiative "Mission to Feed a Million," a partnership with Feeding America and local food banks in the bank's seven state footprint. I coordinate food bank check presentations and volunteer events as well as media attention. To date, I am 100% on media coverage including broadcast and print.
Additional:
I have more than 10 years of communication, public relations, media and event management experience. I excel in client communication, relationship management, partnership negotiations and brand management. A results oriented team player, I have firsthand knowledge of how an organization operates from an agency side and corporate perspective.
