Ideal Position:
My ideal position would be product/program management, creating and implementing sales channel strategies that include: direct mail, web, e-commerce, telemarketing, social media, events, etc., and in need of a senior marketing executive to drive traffic to these channels.
Plus, I have several successful years managing retention, customer loyalty programs and CRM.
Ideal Environment:
Small to medium agency or client organization, with entrepreneurial style and culture. Less worried about job descriptions and turf wars, and more concerned about getting the job done correctly, ensuring that the customer experience best in class, providing the highest level of service, value and product selection to its customers.
Past Experience:
Accomplished, award-winning marketer, with expertise in all functional areas. Includes client-side and agency-side experience, in B2B and B2C marketing. Developed and implemented marcom strategies to over 1 billion customers. Industry experience includes financial services, telecom, retail, insurance, entertainment and travel and leisure.
Current:
8 month contract with telecom client. Marcom role, and helped to launch 2 new partnership programs via DM, FSI's, telemarketing, banner ads and SEM. Also managed bi-monthly webinars, including topics, sourcing and CRM communications to all registered and new guests. Created advertising "claims" deck for distribution to all internal and agency partners.
Additional:
I believe that social media can help a company/client to support its brand, but it cannot be the only means of marketing or advertising. Case histories for social media are few and far between. The issue is not if one should use social media--but how, and to what extent? I have experience successfully integrating social media into marketing plans.
