Ideal Position:
My ideal position would be working closely with senior management, and leading at a high level to build a stronger brand reputation and increase public recognition of the company.
Ideal Environment:
I prefer an environment that stresses and respects communications, with high expectations. My ability to take complicated subjects and simplify them for clear and compelling communication to internal and external audiences is most effective when creativity is allowed to flourish, and respect is given for the communicator's skills.
Past Experience:
I have been gradually increasing communications and government relations experience at higher level job over the past 25 years. My past positions include journalism, speech writing, media relations, internal communications, government relations, public outreach, and brand reputation.
Currently:
Most recently, I led external efforts to improve the image of our company and others in the security industry on alarm management practices. This included working with media, city councils, police chiefs and other security industry companies to build mutually agreeable solutions.
Additional Notes:
I have quality experience in multiple industries, most of them extremely complicated, with hard-to-communicate issues. My strength is being able to take these tough issues, explain them, get buy-in, and action.
