B. S. | Paladin Dallas Candidate
Corporate Communications Director
Available For:
Contract, Freelance, Direct Hire
Ideal Position:
I am eager to join the communications group of a mid to large-size company with the opportunity to guide and implement communications strategies and deliverables that advance the firm's or group's mission.
Ideal Environment:
I'd love to work in a setting that values open and honest communication as a requirement to success in business. I'd like to work with creative colleagues who challenge each other, bring different skills and perspectives to projects, are curious about new ways of working and share a passion for achieving a common goal in an uncommon way.
Past Experience:
As the Director of Internal Communications for a Fortune 500 firm, I led a 15-member multi-functional team, mapping corporate strategy to internal news cycles using multimedia communications channels. I've written executive columns, speeches and op-eds, video scripts, a history of TI and feature and spot news stories for major U.S daily newspapers.
Currently:
I researched and wrote text for the 2010 State Fair of Texa featured exhibit, "Remembering Tom Landry: The Personal Collection." The exhibit was up in three months; similarly sized exhibits typically require up to 18 months to be completed. The exhibit drew more than 120,000 visitors and, due to demand, was extended through the 2011 Super Bowl.
Additional:
I'm an introspective, award-winning communications director/writer known for developing and implementing communications strategies and deliverables that advance business priorities. My writing has earned two IABC Gold Quills, one regional Silver Quill, 11 IABC Bronze Quills and a Dallas Press Club Katie Award.
