Ideal Position:
My ideal opportunity is one where I can be an integral member of a team and contribute to an organization's or a project's success. I like to be busy and to use my creativity and skills to discover new solutions. My ideal position would be challenging and allow me to meet new people and learn new things. I like negotiation and want to contribute.

My ideal environment is one where creativity and communication are valued. I like to work with people who have a sense of humor, enjoy their work and think outside of the box. I believe in honesty, respect and integrity and value it in others. I do best when allowed to work autonomously, but am meticulous about keeping superiors informed.

Past Experience:
For 10 years I was a communications consultant and freelance writer, which gave me the opportunity to work on a variety of projects for different clients. I also created community relations programs for several high-profile highway construction projects, which gave me the opportunity to meet many people and to be creative in a number of ways.

Currently:
Most recently I was the public information manager for a $310 million highway and bridge construction project in the environmentally sensitive Florida Keys. Initially controversial, the project was ultimately embraced by the community. Community support was apparent when more than 100 community members volunteered to help at the event.

The skills I've used to create successful community relations programs in construction are easily transferable to other industries. I am particularly comfortable with high-profile projects that require public speaking and media interviews. I am a strong writer, am highly organized and am interested in a number of industries.
