Ideal Position:
I'm looking for a management position in public relations, media relations, corporate communications and/or internal communications. It does not necessarily have to supervise direct reports, but if it is a supervisory position, it involves a small staff of five or fewer. I am free to travel up to 50% of the time.
Ideal Environment:
I flourish in a team environment. I like to work collaboratively and feel like my contributions are valued. I want to feel appreciated for my strengths and do not want to be micro-managed. I need to work with people around me - can't work in an isolated area. I also like variety and abhor routine.
Past Experience:
I am an accredited public relations professional with experience in internal and external communications, media relations, strategic communications planning, project management, marketing, and special events. I have worked in financial services, manufacturing, hospitality, travel, entertainment, and gaming industries in corporate and field environments.
Currently:
One of my most recent was the director of public relations for a financial corporation after a larger merger. I was handling media during its conversion of several hundred bank branches to one bank system, set of processes and policies. It impacted more than two million customers and I made sure we received positive media coverage.
