Ideal Position:
I would like a challenging direct hire type position. Corporate situations would be preferred, although consulting is a good challenge.
Ideal Environment:
I think it's important to have enough freedom to be creative, but it's also good to have others to bounce ideas off of. The creative process needs to take you in a direction that probably hasn't been tried before. Sometimes risks are taken to find new solutions and the freedom to do that is important. A supportive environment makes this possible.
Past Experience:
My most recent position has been long term consultant position. It's a small office giving me lots of freedom in design and also in being able to manage projects and develop client relationships. The scope of projects was very diverse. During this time I learned a lot about materials and how to get ideas into production efficiently and successfully.
Currently:
My last project involves a system for scanning tires to establish safe tread depth. This project is still in the early stages. In order to present the idea to industry in Korea and Japan I needed a good solution to transport the concept easily for the client. I was able to make full size nylon banners which showed realistic size relationships.
