Ideal Position:
My ideal position would be a full-time hire in which I would use my skills and experience to both grow and consolidate my employer's client base and scope.
Ideal Environment:
I am adaptable to many types of office and corporate cultures. My style is a collaborative one. I'm a good listener, and I have a good feel for what a client seeks on a given project.
Past Experience:
My past experience includes editorial work at a prominent reference publisher, helping to compile the first dictionary of American consumer trade names; a number of years in coupon offer publishing; and a significant amount of proofreading/editing related to automotive training and marketing, both domestic and foreign manufacturers.
Currently:
My most recent work was a contract position proofreading consumer-facing websites for a large automotive manufacturer, covering product information for the range of vehicles in its portfolio.
Additional Notes:
I've had a classical liberal arts education, with parents and family who appreciated the value of music, literature and travel. I think having a broad frame of reference has helped in the areas of proofreading and editing.
