Ideal Position: 
I'm looking for temporary and contract engagements with professional associations and societies to help streamline operations and increase the marketing effectiveness of member retention programs.

Ideal Environment: 
I can adapt well to most cultures, and operate best in more informal environments. I don't need command and control to get things done, influence works so much better. In most cases, I work remotely.

Past Experience:
Most of my background involves finding ways to leverage online and social media tools to get members and customers more engaged. Too many organizations today still think in broadcast terms. Twitter is NOT a way for you to distribute your press releases.

Currently:

I recently started an engagement with a professional association facing declining membership and event attendance. Step 1: Get the budget in line with reality. We've cut 22% by shifting from paid staff to properly managed volunteers. As a side benefit, membership is more engaged and we're beginning to see the turn in membership and event trends.
