Ideal Position:
My "ideal" position would be to replace Ron Santo. Short of that, the perfect opportunity would be a marketing position offering a little of everything - both creative and strategic - allowing me to use all of my skills. The type of organization is less important than a work environment that is enjoyable, and where I look forward to going to work.
Ideal Environment:
Most importantly, I want to find an environment that makes me want to get up every morning and go to work. The type of organization is less important than the overall atmosphere, but I have found that when an organization truly values its employees it shows, and that makes for a great environment that fosters success.
Past Experience:
My career has spanned 15 years and includes a variety of marketing, PR, and communications positions in organizations of all sizes, including non-profit. My marketing experience covers 10 years, and includes positions focusing on strategic planning/budgeting as well as positions focusing on creative/writing, making me a well balanced marketer.
Currently:
My most recent role was heavy on the creative side of marketing, with a great deal of copy writing - for brochures, catalogs, emails, website, press releases - along with some design of marketing pieces and managing vendors/printers to get pieces produced and distributed. I also was responsible for creating and managing the marketing plans.
