Ideal Position:
My ideal position would be within new product development. My formal education and real world experiences and have armed me with the tools needed to deliver solutions that are "just what the client is looking for". Creating beautiful products that are the result of user insights gained during ethnographic research and focus groups.
Ideal Environment:
Ideally, I am striving to re-enter consumer product development. I have an excellent grasp on the product development process and I am excited about learning new things. I aspire to enter an environment where creativity is applauded and is the driving force of the organization. I lead by example and expect to work with ethical professionals.
Past Experience:
I have worked in both a supporting role and as lead industrial designer within a team consisting of engineers, marketing agents, and a researcher. I have also worked within a variety of industries. These experiences have allowed me visibility into a multitude of creative process. I am also accustomed to working with regional and international vendors.
Currently:
I was a senior industrial designer within a product development company here in Chicago. I wore multiple hats while in this position. I lead the development of solutions that were required to meet stringent corporate standards within tight deadlines. The solution I developed won new business for our company in the amount of 3/4 of a million dollars.
Additional Notes:
I am a team player who can work within tight deadlines and juggle multiple projects simultaneously. I am comfortable working outside of my traditional comfort zone and expect to do so in my new role. I am detail oriented and can effectively communicate an idea or concept to anyone. I leave my ego at home and come to the office with an open mind.
