Ideal Position:
My ideal position would focus on print design with some front end web design thrown into the mix. I enjoy the conceptual as well as more straightforward projects. If I can work with typography and/or some great images, all the better.
Ideal Environment:
My ideal situation would be working with creative people who are passionate about doing great work. I like creative types who push me to do my best work in a way that is collaborative and enjoyable.
Past Experience:
Recently was senior designer for an agency focused on health care and pharma clients. I designed client and corporate print projects as well as a little bit of web work. Prior, I was a freelance art director focused on editorial work and photo shoot planning and direction. Before freelancing I was a design director in the custom publishing field.
Currently:
Most recently I've worked on an employee intranet site, collaborating with a writer and programmer. Using new branding, we redesigned the site adding a blog for employees to share information. I was responsible for the design and layout as well as keeping the team on track by updating timelines and communicating progress to senior management.
Additional:
I have worked with a diverse client list for 10+ years. My achievements range from initial conceptualization through successful production, and every stage in between. I am a great manager of people and projects. I like the details and organizational aspects of my job almost as much as I enjoy the creative side. Almost.
