Ideal Position:
My ideal position would be in a fast paced creative environment that challenges me on a daily basis and allows me to grow with a company. Specifically, I would like to continue art directing while utilizing my excellent retouching and production skills. This position would also allow me more web opportunities capitalizing on my flash skills.
Ideal Environment:
My ideal environment is to be surrounded with people who have good attitudes. People with good attitudes enjoy what they do and want to continue to learn and grow. I have been lucky to work in these kind of environments throughout my career. Additionally, the great thing about this field is the wide range of personalities you meet.
Past Experience:
I have well rounded agency background. I have worked as a production artist, retoucher and art director. I have worked on some of the largest accounts in the world and have experience managing projects and people. I have also worked at packaging firms. Without question all of my past positions have added to my overall graphic design education.
Currently:
I worked as a freelance art director at a midsize agency in downtown Chicago for over 2 years. I designed flyers and inserts for a large retail client. Our team consistently topped the prior years monthly sales growth percent by double figures. One example of saving this client money was that we would photo compose stock art with product shots.
Additional:
One attribute worth mentioning is the ability to work under pressure. This comes with experience. I have had years of experience meeting tight deadlines and working late hours under pressure situations. I believe this is a very important attribute in the field we work in and I feel I bring a calmness to the storm.
