Ideal Position:
My ideal opportunity is a regular, ongoing freelance or part-time writing position, including internal business communications and marketing copywriting. My specialty areas include e-mail and print newsletters, web content, and direct mail. My experience crosses corporate environments, small businesses, and nonprofit organizations.
I most enjoy working with people who communicate their needs clearly and appreciate the value of written communication.
Past Experience:
Since I became a professional writer in 1996, I have worked on a contract and freelance basis for large organizations in the technology, financial services, government, and education sectors, in addition to projects with many small businesses and nonprofits. My previous career was in healthcare.
My content specialties include health, habitat, and the human condition. My business is certified as a "green business" by the County of Alameda.
Currently:
My current freelance projects include writing an internal newsletter at a large financial institution, department descriptions for a large corporation, web content for a university, web copy for a small construction firm, a newsletter for a business association, and web and print collateral for two nonprofits that work with children.
