Ideal Position:
As creative director for a design department or in a similar position in corporate communications, I am most looking for an opportunity to guide the branding of a company. I enjoy coordinating the efforts of many diverse groups to achieve the combined goals that are needed to accomplish this.
Ideal Environment:
I believe I am best suited to work in a very collaborative, non-silo'd corporate environment that is very actively pursuing its goals. My ideal company would appreciate big-picture thinking and provide opportunities for its employees to grow.
Past Experience:
- Design manager at a major corporation for 6 years. I was responsible for rebranding/evolution of branding of 18 brands, with an in-house dept. of up to 4 designers.
- Production manager for an agency, setting up design production computers and software, training staff, managing the production, 5 years.
- Owned my own graphics company, 4 years.
Currently:
As design manager of a global manufacturing company, I participated in the rebranding of the company. One of 20 transition managers globally, I was responsible for 10 different business units in 5 locations in the Americas. I assembled a team of 20, developed a budget of $1.5 million, with 540 line items, all completed on time and under budget.
