Ideal Position:
First, I would like to work for those companies who need a consultant to help them figure out better ways of managing and planning their events. Secondly, I would like to work for those companies who rely on administration assistants and who need a higher level of expertise and professionalism. And finally, I would like to work for those who simply need to outsource some event services.
Ideal Environment:
I work best out of my home office; however I am willing to spend two days a week at a client's office if they prefer. I have easily managed programs all of the country as well as internationally, and am comfortable traveling wherever necessary.
Past Experience:
I started planning events working in the admissions department of a well-known Law School; I then worked for five years as the in-house Marketing Events Manager for a few software companies. Since 2002, I have worked on the third-party side, managing and planning events for corporations and associations. I have been Independent since April of 2007.
Currently:
In March, I executed a 1,000 person national association conference that I had planned from start to finished including logistics, audio visual and production, food and beverage, a trade show with 60+ exhibitors, guest activities and hospitality events. I came in at $66K under my client's budget and with high marks of attendee satisfaction.
