Ideal Position:
An ideal opportunity comes along when an organization needs a strong writer who can draw from diverse marketing and management experience to quickly understand their communication objectives. And, when they need a writer who applies a sharp intellect and effective style to convey their message in clear, compelling language, no matter the medium.
Ideal Environment:
My ideal working environment is my home office. If asked to work on site, the hours are flexible, the commute is reasonable, and the environment is casual and relaxed. The workspace is located in a quiet area to facilitate concentration and creativity. It is also located near a window, and not within a cubicle.
Past Experience:
My skills were honed through 25 years of marketing and management positions in a variety of industries. Our objectives included business, resource, audience, and community development. To achieve them, I wrote marketing collateral, business plans, research reports, press releases, presentations, proposals, ad copy, web copy, white papers, and more.
Currently:
In August 2008, I wrote original copy for two firms. One needed 15 pages of web copy to describe their solution for preventing online identity access fraud. The other needed a white paper to position the firm as a premiere provider of onshore call center services. In both cases, edits to my first drafts were minimal and the clients were "thrilled."
