Ideal Position:
An ideal position is one where my skills can be fully useful and a place that needs someone to organize, create, and manage an art department. I would like to work at a place that thrives on new thinking and outside the box creative people and that gives me responsibility and relies on me to accomplish the work.

An ideal environment is one of a corporate culture that accepts diversity and new thinking and gives responsibility and requires accountability while allowing for creative thinking and solutions.  I would like a clean place that allows dialog and exchange of ideas.

Past Experience:
For 15 years, I had my own design studio in California and Colorado. I did full service design, project management and website design and management. For the past 3 years work as a freelance art director, production, design of print and web.

Currently:
As art director for a catalog company my duties became more of manager of a team. I coordinated daily task/assignments to a team of 5 designers as well as implemented new organization scheme, updated software and hardware. I have procured/purchased print proofing systems and trained junior designers.

Additional Notes:
I'm experienced in corporate communication, creative direction, art direction, design, production and pre-press. I also have developed and designed websites, online graphics and flash animations. As a manager, I supervised and trained small groups of designers and freelancers, as well as, managed art departments for different companies.
