Ideal Position:
I enjoy all aspects of the design process, from conception to production.  My ideal position would allow me to manage projects fully, from start to finish.  I don't have a preference in terms of the industry I work in, because my experience spans all types of areas.

I am very adaptable to all types of environments.  Ideally, I would like to work in an environment where I am not micro-managed.  A setting with an open area and natural lighting is preferable.  I would enjoy working in a culture that encourages others to express views freely.

Past Experience:
Over the past 12 years, I have worked my way up from being a graphic designer to art director.  Although I have worked in the retail industry, I have done direct mail, displays, marketing materials and corporate presentations.  I also have managed staff and photographers, attended photo shoots and press runs and have managed budgets.

Although my career credentials are impressive, I am also proud of my accomplishments outside of work.  I designed and implemented an anti-smoking ad campaign in all NYC subways with the encouragement of Smokefree Educational Services.  I also worked on two sculptures benefiting the Search and Rescue dogs of 9/11, which were auctioned at Sotheby's.

Currently:
My current position is art director for a company that manufactures bedding and bath products under licensing of major brands.  This position requires design within brand guidelines and execution of packaging overseas as well as in the U.S.  I manage a staff of 3, schedule and direct photo shoots, and execute much of the production work myself.
