Art Director/Design Manager with Corporate, Not-for-profit and Agency Experience

Ideal Position:
I'm looking for an environment that allows me to stretch myself creatively, while working collaboratively with a talented group. I want job satisfaction while maintaining a good work/life balance.

Having worked in all manners of environments, I feel they all have their advantages. I want a workplace that's comfortable, with friendly and professional interaction with coworkers. With so much time being spent at work, I want to be able to have some fun while there. A good work/life balance is also very important.

Past Experience:
I have almost 25 years experience in the field of graphic design, the last 10+ being spent as an Art Director/Design Manager. I've worked in every environment, from small agency to large corporation. I have experience managing both on-staff and freelance designers, and collaborating with editorial and production groups. I possess excellent project management skills.

Currently:
In my most recent position, I was a Design Manager for an educational publishing development house, working on projects ranging from small ancillaries to 1000+ page textbooks. I was responsible for overseeing the design of projects, as well as project management. I worked closely with in-house editorial and composition groups, and had daily client contact.

I enjoy what I do, and I pride myself in knowing that both coworkers and clients have always enjoyed the experience of working with me, and know they can trust me at any time to help them accomplish their goals.
