Ideal Position:
I am a motivated professional seeking a position with an organization that will enable me to utilize my extensive experience in media communications while providing opportunities for growth and advancement. I am comfortable working as a Technical Writer, a Features Writer and/or a Copy Writer and have much experience with all three positions.

My ideal environment would be a place where I could be really creative and have fun with new ideas. It would be very relaxed and casual in attitude. However, I do also enjoy some structure and deadlines on various projects. Specific directions are a great help in achieving a desired end goal.

Past Experience:
For almost 20 years I have worked in various aspects of communications. I started as a Features Writer/Editor for an entertainment publication in college. After graduating, I wrote the script for, produced, and hosted a weekly talk show for KDTX TV for 10 years. I later transitioned to technical writing and copywriting for an oil and gas company, and I have also taken on a variety of freelance projects.

Currently:
Most recently I have enjoyed the privilege of working as a copywriter on a variety of projects and special events for various public relations firms. I greatly enjoy copywriting and working with graphic artists on ads. It allows me to use my creativity freely.
