Paladin is working with an independent investment firm headquartered in Chicago, Illinois. They are in need of a Sr. Marketing Associate. They have grown to approximately $12.4 billion in assets and provide fee-based investment management of equity, fixed income and balanced investment portfolios. Their growing client list includes high net worth individuals and families, endowments, foundations, corporations, hospitals, public funds and multi-employer plans across the country.
 
The ideal candidate will help the business development, marketing and investment teams with new business opportunities and ongoing client service. The Senior Marketing Associate will manage the production and customization of marketing materials, ensuring the highest standards in accuracy, quality and timely delivery. He/she will support the firm’s three distribution channels — institutional, advisor solutions and wealth management. The position will also assist with various marketing initiatives and conduct competitive analytics and industry research. This individual will report to the Marketing Director in the Chicago office.
 
 
Job Title: Senior Marketing Associate
Employment Type: Full Time

Compensation: commensurate with experience
 
 
Responsibilities:

  • Develop, produce, customize and maintain electronic and printed marketing materials;
  • Assist with the planning and execution of marketing campaigns;
  • Plan and manage events, conferences and sponsorships;
  • Conduct industry research and competitive analytics;
  • Manage vendor relationships;
  • Assist with the updating of firm’s CRM (Salesforce); and serving as backup and support for the team’s RFP and Database Associate.
  • Work cross functionally on marketing-related tasks with departments across the firm including Compliance, Information Technology, Operations and the investment teams.
  • Required knowledge of Microsoft Office; Adobe Creative Suite; Word Press; Pardot; and database proficiency

 
Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field
  • Financial services industry background required
  • 3-5 years of experience in marketing preferred
  • Solid understanding of investments and ability to apply concepts to marketing materials
  • Keen attention to detail; excellent proofreading skills; comfortable working with a large amount of investment-related data
  • Technologically savvy; ability to learn various types of software systems
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with quickly changing priorities and tight deadlines, while maintaining a high degree of professionalism and focus
  • Superior skills in organization and time management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic and strong interpersonal skills
  • Team player with experience collaborating effectively across multiple stakeholders at all levels within the organization
  • Knowledge of graphic design issues, print production and project management affecting printing, quality and on-time delivery
  • High level of proficiency with MS Office, Salesforce and WordPress strongly preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
