Paladin is seeking a Financial Writer for a premier US Investment firm in Downtown Chicago, but with a twist! This person will ideally have a CFA and can understand the more technical aspects of the research and data of financial writing.   
Title: Financial Writer
Type of Role: Direct-Hire
Location: Downtown Chicago
Salary: Dependent on Experience  
• Writing and producing regular market and product commentaries (i.e., US investment grade, high yield, floating rate loans, structured products, etc.).
• Writing and producing ad-hoc market and product commentaries. (i.e. sector specific spotlights, macro themes, timely market events, etc.)
• Analyzing data and performing due diligence and research to support topics listed above  
• Originating and writing thought leadership material.
• Originating and writing educational investment-related pieces.
• Providing copy for a full spectrum of print materials in coordination with the MarComm Team (e.g., brochures, presentations, etc.).
• Providing copy for digital platforms.
• Helping the broader MarComm Team, as needed, with writing related to RFPs, corporate communications and other miscellaneous deliverables.
•  Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in journalism and/or English  
•  MBA or CFA and/or securities licenses are a plus
•  Strong knowledge of and interest in the capital markets and investing
• 5+ years of professional experience, ideally with experience in journalism or a closely related field   
•   Experience conducting interviews with subject matter experts   
•   Experience writing for digital platforms is a plus
