Paladin is currently seeking a Public Relations Manager for a full-time opportunity in New York City. Our client, a professional services firm in Midtown is seeking an individual to assist and execute all media relations efforts, primarily within the broadcast sector.
- Executing media strategies aligned with the firm’s brand positioning
- Responsible for all media relations content including press releases, media pitches and byline articles
- Create and manage editorial calendar
- Advise the team on media best practices and how to exchange with media
- Cultivate strong relationships with the media, especially within the broadcast sector
- Monitoring and reporting all placements
- Assist and edit communications content for the firm
- Leading the production of internal magazine, including developing story ideas, drafting and editing articles and coordinating the production schedule
- Working with outside vendors when needed
- Bachelor’s Degree within Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or English
- 3+ years of media relations experience – working with clients within the professional services sector
- Knowledge of AP Style
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Proven track record of pitching and placements within the broadcast sector
