Paladin is looking for an experienced PR Consultant for a contract assignment with one of our clients. If you have 8 or more years of experience leading PR efforts including writing and executing strategies, establish media relationships, writing and pitching press releases, and identifying PR opportunities – we’d love to talk to you! Before we put the cart before the horse, check out our other details on this job…
JOB TYPE: W2 Contract/Freelance
HOURS: Will fluctuate (there is flexibility)
RATE: $30/hour+ (will commensurate with experience)
WHO OUR CLIENT IS: A small ad agency in Valparaiso, IN that doesn’t have internal PR resources.
OFFICE CULTURE: Their office culture is typical agency – collaborative and creative… but, you’d mostly be working remote so, you get to make the environment whatever you’d like it to be!
WHAT YOU’LL GET THERE: You’ll be the authority on all things PR-related for a top secret, hush-hush new product rollout. This is an excellent scenario for someone who is looking for supplemental work with flexible hours and that still gives you the ability to take on other projects. The upside if that you can parlay this into a long-term relationship with this agency.
OTHER DETAILS: The best person for this job is someone who can lead our client and advise on PR plans, strategy and execution. You’d be the executor so, you’ll have to be cool with being a band of one.
•Be involved in brain storming sessions with and without the client.
(This might require coming out to Valparaiso but, this is flexible/negotiable)
•Attend industry events like trade shows, presentations and other gatherings (as-needed).
•A little bit of travel might be involved that may require an overnight but nothing excessive. (Events will primarily take place in IL and/or IN… yes, travel expenses are covered)
•The number of hours will ebb/flow but, there’s a lot of flexibility.
GOOD TO HAVE SKILLS: (Gravy if you’ve got this but, it’s not a deal breaker.)
•Experience developing PR strategies for a government account or client
