Paladin is currently recruiting for a Marketing Project Manager based in the northern suburbs of Chicago.  This global Fortune 500 company has an exciting opportunity for an individual seeking to join a fast-paced, fun, marketing team. The right candidate will enjoy working within a team and working independently, along with project managing and tracking marketing programs, creating dashboards, meeting deadlines and setting up kick off meetings for projects cross digital and traditional marketing!

Responsibilities:

  • Create timelines and budgets for all global internal and external marketing deliverables e.g. videos, web pages, collateral, newsletters, email campaigns, PowerPoints, events, etc. in a fast paced, high volume environment (approx. 3,000 projects annually).  
  • Will need to create workflows and assignments in Project Management software and follow the item through concept development, production/design, final approvals, launch and translations process to ensure client’s project requirements and deadlines are met
  • Must manage and track marketing programs; set up weekly touch point meetings; create daily, weekly, monthly dash boards; follow up daily to ensure deadlines are met; set up appropriate kick off meetings for strategic projects
  • Be the main point of contact for their project management tool, train new users and groups on the system and work to continually improve processes of working within the system  
  • Collaborate with lead designer on communicating and allocating project requirements and deadlines to designers. Along with providing information to others internally and externally to the organization; represents the organization to customers and other external sources.
  • Monitor and Control Project Work: Measure project performance using project management tool in order to monitor the progress of the project, identify and quantify any variances, perform any required corrective actions, and communicate to all stakeholders.
  • Manage Change to Scope: Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques in order to keep the project plan accurate, updated, and reflective of authorized project changes as defined in the change management plan and facilitate customer acceptance.

 
 
Requirements:

  • The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and a background in communications, marketing or journalism with background working in a Project Management Office (PMO) or in the project management space
  • PMP certification highly desired
  • Knowledge of a project management tool is a plus but not required. Willingness to learn and embrace the program is a must.  
  • Minimum five years of relevant experience managing creative content at the corporate or agency level is required. Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume agency environment or marketing environment would make this candidate stand out. Printing background and familiarity with Indesign, Hubspot, would be a plus. This varied role will require the successful candidate to be a proven team player with a “can-do” attitude and excellent communication skills.  
  • Being a self-starter by nature, this person will possess effective organization and project management skills, and be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment while being flexible, adaptable and responsive to shifting priorities.  
  • This person will need to be able to work independently, but also work very well within a team environment.  
  • Strong interpersonal skills to support team building: Ability to identify project risks by defining risk strategies and developing the risk management plan in order to reduce uncertainty throughout the project lifecycle
  • Experience in InDesign, HubSpot is a strong plus
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Project, MS Office
