Our client, a financial firm, located in New York City, is looking to fill a Marketing Assistant full-time opportunity. This role is an exciting blend of event planning, writing, and marketing communications tasks. The Marketing Associate with assist in planning events and conferences, marketing campaigns and communications, developing, editing, and distributing press releases and other media materials, and following firm and client media coverage.
 
Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage various events, including providing event communication materials.
  • Manage event deadlines, oversee all merchandise orders, and handle the event budget.
  • Establish and maintain vendor and event participant relationships.
  • Conceive, proofread, edit and distribute marketing and media communications materials; including but not limited to: collaterals, press releases, memos, and research documents.
  • Analyze and compile customer research, current market conditions and competitor information.
  • Ascertain and analyze daily media coverage.
  • Schedule and ensure proper utilization of the team’s resources and personnel.
  • Promote a consistent message for the company and client, both internally and externally.

 
Requirements:

  • 4 year college degree in a related field and a minimum of 2 years experience in marketing, preferably in the financial industry.
  • Strong writing skills and experience; including press releases and copyediting.
  • Experience in marketing, graphic design, and event management.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office and CRM software, such as SalesLogix.
  • Experience with WordPress and HTML
  • An ideal candidate will have meticulous attention to detail, have extensive time management skills, and the ability to work unsupervised, independently, or in collaboration with a team.
