Content Marketing position in Buffalo Grove, IL
Paladin is working with a major global organization located in Buffalo Grove that is looking to add a Content Marketer to their team. In this role, you’ll support a team of Product Managers some of which are located in IL and Germany to develop and enhance digital marketing content for a wide and universal audience.
The ideal candidate for this role will think like a marketer and a journalist to lead and advance content marketing strategy and develop customer engagement by taking a holistic approach to developing specific, differentiated content about the organization, their solutions and offerings.
As a key contributor to the global brand equity, you will be a brand champion who will collaborate with and guide Product Management and Digital Marketing teams in articulating strong value propositions and delivering high impact, customer facing materials and programs across a variety of online and offline platforms.
JOB TYPE: Permanent/Full-Time
LOCATION: Buffalo Grove, IL (no telecommuting)
HOURS: 8:30am-5:00pm

Responsibilities to Include:
• Develop the marketing strategy brief, conduct input sessions and work with writers to direct thought leadership content efforts according to messaging strategy.
• Produce on-brand thought leadership content relevant to personas and buyer journey.
• Work closely with business units to align personas and content with buying stages, with channel selection based on highest ROI.
• Leverage analytics and commercial insights to develop fresh and relevant content strategies and content.
• Work with business units and digital team to publish and promote finished articles and other thought leadership assets to meet brand and campaign objectives.
• Development and maximize the quality of content produced by a creative network of writers, designers, video creators, etc. Provide feedback, guidance and creative review of content, managing multiple projects and resources simultaneously.
• Curate and edit content as needed.
• Manage editorial calendar.
• Drive deep customer engagement via content marketing and digital strategies.
• Understand persona drivers, pain points, jobs to be done, information consumption preferences i.e. type of content, channels and how customers engage across the buyer’s journey.
• Diligent monitoring of competition relative to positioning, messaging, branding and content marketing efforts to ensure the organization is differentiated.
• Bachelors’ degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications or similar discipline.
• Minimum 5-7 years of professional communications, marketing or writing experience.
• Ability to take technical and complex content authored by others to make it universally readable to a wide audience.
• Ability to take early morning calls with colleagues and business partners overseas as needed.
• Past experience using some kind of CMS (content management system)
TRAVEL: Some domestic and/or international travel is a must (2-3 trips annually).
