A freelance Production Artist job in Phoenix, AZ is available right now through Paladin Staffing! The Production Artist will work part-time hours on-site in an environment that is fast-paced and deadline driven. The primary responsibility of this position will be to provide support to the creative team by executing technical work while upholding process and industry best practices.
 
 
Production Artist Responsibilities:
 
To be considered for this role, candidates should have experience working with standard software tools, familiar with printing requirements and have a strong sense of mechanical production sensibility. This is a fast paced environment with a high volume of work and will require someone to be sensitive to detail, versatile and able to switch from project to project with little or no warning.
 

  • Work closely with the creative and account teams to prepare layouts for print collateral, tradeshow materials and signage, packaging, advertising, PowerPoint and Keynote presentations, websites, email communications, website banner ads, mobile applications, and more!
  • Exhibit strong judgment when it comes to assuring that guidelines and industry standards are accurate for print and digital mediums.
  • Approve the quality and accuracy of files being prepared for pre-press and release.
  • Make copy and layout revisions as needed, retouch photos, etc.
  • Prepare presentation materials, including mock-ups and mounted boards, etc.
  • Assist in creation of presentations using PowerPoint, Keynote, and Word.
  • Ability to create charts, tables and style sheets from scratch
  • Organize, maintain and monitor files on company’s servers. Oversee FTP transfers, archiving and shared filed with all internal and external resources.
  • Communicate to cross-departments on project priorities and timelines to ensure all deadlines and budgets are being met accordingly.
  • Must be comfortable with working on multiple projects simultaneously and graceful with constant changing of priorities and working under pressure.
  • Advanced level skills using the latest versions of Adobe Creative Suite for MAC (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat)
  • Cross Platform Support – MAC and PC
  • Willingness to work long or extended hours to meet production deadlines when necessary.
