Want to put your digital marketing expertise toward efforts benefiting the greater good?  Then, this Director of Marketing & Donor Relations role might be the job for you.
In this role, you will be responsible for creating and driving a multi-channel marketing plan that will raise money toward medical research. Through an integrated marketing the approach, the Director of Marketing & Donor Relations is expected to increase gifts of current donors and acquire new donors.  As the Director of Marketing & Donor Relations, you will be responsible for building a marketing team and function from the ground-up. The person in this role should be able to develop the strategy, implement it, and execute. Candidates must have direct management experience (the Director will have up to 6 direct reports).

In this role, other responsibilities will include:

  • Assign and oversee projects (marketing writing, design, web, and digital) to the Marketing and Donor Relations team
  • Forecast project timelines
  • Ensures all work plans and strategies are on-brand and align with the organization’s mission and goals
  • Assists with the implementation of technology solutions, data management, and market segmentation
  • Drives and manages the research, analysis, planning, implementation, execution and measuring of activities related to acquiring, cultivating, and stewarding donors (i.e. annual giving and direct mail appeals; CRM management, integration, and executions; digital fundraising; donor surveys; event marketing, etc.)
  • Manages and monitors team budgets
  • Identifies the agendas and outcomes for regular team meetings  

What You’ll Need:

  • A bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field
  • A master’s degree is preferred
  • A minimum of 7 years of similar and relevant experience
  • A minimum of 2-3 years in multi-media, digital strategy, and CRM software management-related roles.
  • Strong management and supervisory experience.
  • Experience working in fundraising within healthcare or higher education is preferred
