Digital Marketing Analyst opening in Chicago, IL
 
Our client is a higher-education institution on Chicago’s Northwest side that has a new opening for an entry-level
Digital Marketing Analyst. You will work closely with staff to expand, execute, and implement digital strategies to improve the visibility of the organization.
 
In this role, you will be tasked with understanding and articulating best-practices within SEO and SEM. You will work closely with executive leadership to measure and benchmark campaign performance within PPC campaigns, identify larger industry-wide trends, keywords, conversation points, optimize user funnels, and maximize outcomes based on data.
 
The ideal candidate for this role with have at least 2 relevant internships, if not “real world” experience, in digital marketing touching any of the following: SEO, SEM, paid search, digital marketing, PPC or similar functions.as strong communication skills (oral and written). We are looking for someone who wants to stay abreast of emerging technologies, and who has strong communication skills (oral and written).

Key Responsibilities to Include:
• Analyze data from performance of digital channels, search, display, social, e-mail and web testing.
• Perform SEM channel optimization in terms of pricing and competitive keyword positioning in the higher education market.
• Develop a keyword strategy, and ensure that advertisement copy matches landing pages, for all Google AdWords campaigns
• Monitor web traffic for trends associated with SEM campaigns and work closely with leadership to adjust spend accordingly
• Design and implement SEO strategy and continually refine/optimize, across a global set of webpages
• Assist in the administration and management of the web site infrastructure  
• Collaborate with agencies and other vendor partners when applicable
• Evaluate emerging technologies; provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate
• Assist in the enhanced visibility of the brand within the digital ecosystem
• Develop and execute digital marketing strategies that align with the organizational goals
• Represent the digital marketing team and develop strong connections across the organization
• Develop and maintain an understanding of higher education, key goals and audiences, media genres and techniques, and applications
• Interact individually with internal and external connections as needed to provide an outstanding experience in their interaction with organization and site experience
 
Requirements:
• Bachelors’ degree in marketing, communications or similar discipline
• Basic knowledge of SEO, SEM, paid search, Google AdWords and/or Analytics, or other campaign management tools and CRM tools such as SalesForce or CMS platforms such as WordPress
• You must have at least 2 relevant internships of a similar nature under your belt or 1-2 years of “real world” experience in digital marketing
• Ability to management projects, work independently, prioritize tasks, respond effectively to multiple demands and meet deadlines
• Excellent interpersonal skills
