Attention all Copy Editors in New York City!  We are currently looking for copy editors with experience in medical/scientific editing .For this job you will be working as a Copy Editor for a well-known media publishing company in New York City on a consulting basis.  Some of your responsibilities will include editing of content for formatting grammar and spelling as well as communicating with team members and stakeholders.  This will be a contract to hire position with a competitive salary range.
Your job responsibilities as a Copy Editor will include
• Editing content such as images texts and graphics for consistency, spelling, grammar, syntax, correctness.
• Formatting and fact checking
• Provide insight and guidance to other team members of best practices
• Maintain positive relationship with stakeholders
You are a perfect fit if you have:
• A minimum of 3 years related medical/scientific editing
• Demonstrated understanding of editorial process and proven medical copy editing skills.
• Proficient in AMA style
• Familiar with online searchable sites such as PubMed
• Ability to meet deadlines
Desired skills are
• College degree in English, Journalism and or biological sciences
• Experience editing continuing medical material
• Understand ACCME guidelines
• Experience in editing non-native English writing
• Experience web-based document sharing
• Experience web-based  project management tools
• Experience with referencing software
• Photoshop and Illustrator experience
