Paladin is looking for an Account Manager/Project Manager for a temp-to-perm opportunity with an in-house agency working with a major retail account located in the west Chicago suburbs. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of account management/project management experience, ideally in a consumer-focused or retail environment (this isn’t a deal breaker though). We need a cross-functional team player who gives meaning to the term “on the ball”. If you are a fine-tuned machine who can work well with minimal supervision to keep the trains moving out of the station – we want to talk to you!
You’ll work with other departments to develop and execute strategies that will build up client business and manage digital workflows that support it. In this role, you’ll be viewed as a trusted advisor who partners with clients in a positive, professional and constructive manner.

HOURS: Full-Time/40 hours

Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Lead insightful and actionable creative briefs.
  • Represent the agency in effectively communicating and selling the agency POV and recommendations.
  • Proactively identify new business building insights and opportunities.
  • Manage creative projects from briefing to final execution.
  • Demonstrate the ability to read a situation and react appropriately to sold problems.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in both client and internal scenarios.
  • Delegate to direct reports while ensuring quality work and ultimate responsibility of projects/tasks.
  • Understand and articulate client business strategies and insights to leverage this into contributing new creative and business insights that help move the business forward.
  • Effectively sell agency strategies, creative and POV.
  • Recognize new revenue opportunities and work to implement them.

Requirements for Consideration

  • 3-5 years’ experience working as an Account Manager/Project Manager in advertising or marketing.
  • Strong ability to quickly learn and function within proprietary software programs.
  • Leadership skills.
  • Collaborative and positive spirit.
  • Proven ability to multi-task and function well in stressful situations and deadline pressures.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud and MS Office.
  • Bachelors’ degree in a related field or equivalent.
  • Work on circulars, catalogs or similar would be icing on the cake.
