in an efficient, user friendly manner. Works with graphic
designers and user functionality project managers to create
the “blueprints” for a Website.

Animator
Using animation and graphics software, designs and develops
2-D and 3-D animations for a variety of media and purposes.
Creates characters, special effects, and graphics for
Websites, online broadcast, multimedia presentations,
training, games, and corporate presentations.
Web Editor
Oversees the editorial content of Websites and online
publications. Develops article and story ideas; adapts
offline content for online use; and edits and proofreads
copy. Also conceives ideas for Web-based events. Can have
writing responsibilities.
Web
Content Manager/Writer
Manages the writing, editing and uploading of content
on Websites and corporate intranets. Ensures that Website
content meets the corporate style and content requirements
of business units and meets the needs of Website users.
Collaborates with Web Designers and Web Programmers /
Developers on Website design and capabilities.
Web Designer
Creates designs and layouts for Websites, corporate intranets,
E-Mail Marketing, and Online interfaces. Also designs
materials for Web-based advertising and marketing campaigns.
Selects and arranges photos, type, illustrations, and
color with the use of Illustrator, Photoshop, or Quark.
Typically designs Websites with the use of Dreamweaver,
Flash or by HTML. Collaborates with Web Content Writers
on blending copy with designs
Web Producer
Manages the conception, development, and updating of websites
and other Web-based communications. Works with creative,
editorial, and technical teams on assigning team members
and defining tasks. Oversees budgets and timelines; identifies
and resolves production problems; and selects and negotiates
with vendors
Web Programmer
Responsible for developing and maintaining the applications
that enable websites to function. Designs, programs, tests,
and enhances Web-based business and database applications
for such purposes as e-commerce and customer service.
Writes the necessary programming code such HTML, ASP,
C++, MySQL, CSS, PHP, Javascript, etc. Can be responsible
for the day-to-day management and upkeep of Websites.
